This is a photograph of the Poole Men Annual Dinner on Monday, February 8th 1937.
Founded in 1924 our objectives are “to arouse and maintain an interest in all that appertains to the welfare and progress of the borough of the town of Poole.”
We hold regular meetings for members and their guests (family and friends are always welcome to our social events).
We normally have social events on a monthly basis (see screen 3 for details) talks are in the main on local events and places; we visit local places of interest and hold social dinners.
We are affiliated to Poole Heritage Forum, Wessex Newfoundland Society, Friends of Upton Country Park, Friends of Poole Park and Poole Twinning Association.
The Society is respected across the Borough and our opinions are sought on matters that concern the Borough and regularly are invited to participate in debates concerning local planning matters.
